God's power is not in the precept but in the Record and the Witness

Dear bretheren and guests,

As I was reading through Apostle David's teaching notes, "Dissambiguating the Kingdom of Darkness" (http://s8wstudentresources.com/?q=node/696), a dream was brought into remembrance which I had when I was younger (10 or 11) which even back then I had spent much time wondering what it meant but when I came into covenant, I finally began to understand what it meant! Praise Jesus!

And after reading the questions to consider in Apostle David's post, the last question triggered my memory:

"4.How many ways have you learned to do warfare against Satan, yet you continue to suffer under the bondage of sin, yoked with guilt and shame?"

This excited my spirit within as I remembered my dream and I just thought I would share my dream on the student board along with my observations.

My grandmother used to always tell me that I can get rid of Satan's influence by telling him to "Go away in the name of Jesus!" and I remember taking heed of that advice in my heart.

Then I had a dream one day which I can see now was from the Lord!

In my dream, Satan was chasing me around by the pool side at home and then I ran to the door and he was right behind me as I tried to close the sliding door so he wouldn't get in.

Then I remembered my grandmother's advice and said to Satan, "Go away in the name of Jesus!".

Nothing happened!

He just laughed at me and somehow got into the house and I ran into the bathroom and into the bath tub and tried the trick I would use during nightmares when I wanted to wake up. My trick didn't work as well as it did in other dreams this time round. Then I was so afraid because Satan was trying to get in and I couldn't even wake up!

Eventually, I woke up and I was so distraught! That I didn't even tell anyone but from that day I just knew that just telling Satan to go away in the name of Jesus doesn't work! No matter how much you want it to.

Now I understand that it's because I was using the precept which my grandmother believed and even at that age I was living under the bondage of sin and death and suffered the symptoms of exigent faith - faith in crisis - where I was yoked with guilt and shame and always repenting!

God's power to transform us into His Christ (NOT ours) is not in the precept but in the Record of Jesus Christ (His knowledge and tools) that carry His virtues, His very substance, that the Holy Spirit (witness) carries into the soul through our activity of faith (as faith without Government, Truth, Spirit, Prayer, Preaching, Prophecy, Gifts, Graces and Callings is dead).

The tools of the covenant are those POWER tools through which we can overcome the kingdom of darkness. Amen!

Thank you God that Your church is being translated from darkness to light and through the Apostles of the Second 8th Week Ministries, we do not read one thing but then experience something else. Instead we are experiencing equity in faith through true stewardship!

I offer these sacrifices for world evangelism and new students:

By our contact with God through the the tools of the covenant, we gain experience of God and grow to trust Him through the cycles of our growth.

The kingdom of darkness does not reflect the integrity of Jesus Christ as the Antichrist opposes God, twisting God's truth into a lie that corrupts the soul.

When Jesus is no longer the centre of our faith Satan gets the upper hand and our lives become about solving problems and resolving issues. When Jesus becomes the centre of faith through the knowledge and tools of the second covenant he mediates the covenant for us as an advocate, restoring our hope in Him and translating us from darkness to light.
