True Promise vs. False Promise
Greetings Saints,
I was recently reflecting upon the promise of God versus the many false promises of Satan and my heart was filled with thankfulness towards God for the precious promises we are partakers of as we walk in covenant with Him.
Excerpt Doctrine The Promise and the Hope Second 8th Week University
God uses truth as a tool to give substance to our hope. All the elements of the gospel, working together allow us to see the promise of God and as we walk in faith, God gives substance to our hope.
(End excerpt.)
In order to better understand the previous paragraph we need to firstly look at what the meaning of truth is. There are three manifestations of truth namely:
1. The person of truth who is Jesus Christ
2. What He says is in Truth (The Doctrine of our persuasion; doctrine of Christ; Holy Knowledge; The ordered Knowledge; Record of Christ) The doctrine coming through the office of the apostle and represented to the body of Christ. The apostles also have responsibility of instructing the saints on how to function within their priesthood and to ensure that the doctrine is kept pure. When the doctrine is kept pure we will continue to serve God with perfect faith and the soul will be transformed to reflect the likeness of Jesus Christ.
3. What He does is in Truth (the product of His work within the soul) we can see God’s living craftsmanship in this as the fruits of the Spirit are being birthed within the hearts f those who submit themselves to the apostles doctrine (the doctrine of Christ). The Holy Spirit entering into this knowledge and taking us through the experience of God’s grace effects an everlasting change within the soul which will be expressed as the fruits of the Spirit (But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:22, 23)
Truth is all the facts that are consistent to God’s character, purpose and plan and when we walk by faith as to acknowledge submit to and mould with the terms of the Second Covenant, we are partakers of His promises, and the following will become a living reality as the Spirit continues to confirm this pattern wherein we walk, which is centred on Jesus Christ.
*We will know God as we are being made into his image. This is the effectual working of the Holy Spirit, which is a continual process and can only take place as we daily fulfil our responsibility as new covenant priests at the Altar of Christ. With the renewing of the mind we are made to see from God’s perspective and through this we know Him.
*We enter into our rest as we are brought into His care We cease to labour with the tools of iniquity (the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life) when we labour with the tools of the Second Covenant (Government, truth, Spirit, prayer, preaching and prophecy, Gifts, callings and the manifold graces of God) therefore we rest from labouring with iniquity. We are no longer in bondage to Satan’s system of corruption and deceit whereby he kept us yoked through ignorance. We rest in Christ when we us the tools of the Second covenant which also prepares us for the promise of our eternal rest in the Bosom of our Father.
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 8:32
*We are declared righteous based on grace and faith. When our reciprocation to what God issues is in kind He declares us righteous stating that we have met His standard for faith which is set in Jesus Christ. We do righteousness as we daily walk by faith. God continues to reward us for our choices of faith through the increase of His divine substance within which continues to liberate and sustain the soul. We are taking on the likeness of His Son Jesus Christ.
Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.
1 John 3:2
As we walk by faith these promises become a reality and God continues to manifest Himself to us, renewing our hope daily as we partake of the fullness of Jesus Christ who is the shepherd and bishop of our souls.
Our confidence is in the work of Christ within the soul and we have found our purpose of fulfilling our duty as righteous sons of God made possible through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
To the contrary there are so many false promises whereby Satan keeps people yoked to his system of death through his “disinformation campaign” meant to keep the soul in ignorance.
As Chief Apostle Eric brings out in a recent lecture.
“Those caught in Satan’s trap are moulding with a system, which promises them life and promises them liberty, but yet they are servants of corruption.”
While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage.
2 Peter 2:19
Satan makes many promises that speak very deeply to our human condition but he does not possess the power to bring to any of his promises to pass. There is no substance to Satan’s word, no light of light, no power. Thus he has to cloak himself in things that are seemingly very true about our needs and he masquerades his voice of aspiration as if it is the voice of the Lord.
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.
2 Corinthians 11:14
Satan is not a holy angel, but a fallen angel. Holy angels faithfully carry God’s grace, but Satan turns the grace of God to lasciviousness. He presents the false knowledge of his system of darkness as the knowledge of light to keep the soul in bondage.
These false promises only brings false hope and I praise God for His pattern of truth whereby we can daily experience the promises whereby He so richly blesses the soul with His increase, knowing that we do not labour in vain with these spiritual tools which He has provided for the salvation of the soul.
Daily God transforms the soul into the likeness of His Son as we are active with the tools that separate us from the world unto Himself and through this transformation we will be able to enter into our eternal inheritance which is the Bosom of our Father God.
And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
1 John 2:25
“The Righteous builds the House of God with the knowledge of Christ as they feast at the table of the Lord.”
Apostle Jacques
